At SCH, we follow the guidance of the CDC in modifying our masking requirements. Due to the declining rates of COVID-19 in our service area, we have made masking recommended but not required in our non-clinical common areas such as lobbies, hallways, cafeteria, gift shops, and conference rooms. Masks will still be required in ALL patient care areas including ED, Med-Surg, Lab draw stations, Imaging department, Cardiopulmonary, Surgery and Wound care. Our patient’s health is and and always will be our highest concern. With the modification of our masking requirements, we continue to monitor number of COVID-19 cases within our area and will notify of any mask mandate. Please note, masks will still be available for all visitors and patients who chose to wear one. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
