New Build
Sweeny Community Hospital is very excited to announce the building of a new hospital. We will be building at our current location, around the existing facility. This will allow us to build a new hospital that aligns with our mission, vision, values, while keeping up with modern healthcare. We will be able to increase our clinical capabilities and better care for our community. On August 31, 2022, we celebrated with a ceremonial groundbreaking.
The first stages of the build will consist of some restructuring in the back of the current hospital to create patient and staff parking. Once completed, we will divert traffic through the back of the hospital, close the front parking lot, and begin construction on the new facility. We are working diligently to reduce impact of construction on the community and our staff while still bringing quality healthcare to our communities.

Construction and Parking Updates
Construction has begun! Parking has been diverted to the back of the hospital and can be accessed on Ross and Alice streets. If you should need any assistance getting in to the hospital or clinics, please contact the main hospital number 979.548.1500.
