Ladies Auxiliary

The Sweeny Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that strives to advance the welfare of SCH through service and fundraising with care and compassion. The Ladies Auxiliary (also know as the Pink Ladies) was organized in 1964 – a year before the hospital officially opened. Auxiliary members staff the hospital’s gift shop, distribute flowers and mail to patients, and assist the hospital staff with errands and special requests.

Over the years, the Ladies Auxiliary have raised nearly a million dollars for hospital equipment ranging from the needs of the Dietary Department to Surgery and the Wellness Center.  Through raffles, luncheons, gift shop and other fundraising opportunities, the Ladies Auxiliary increase community support to the hospital while offering a caring hand.
