COVID-19 Update: If you or someone in your care has a temperature ≥ 100.4, a dry cough and believe it may be related to COVID-19, call your medical provider first about seeking medical attention. In the absence of a medical emergency, walk-in physician office and walk-in emergency room visits are not appropriate and may put others at risk. Calling ahead allows your medical provider to help you gain access to the most appropriate care in the fastest, safest way possible. For questions, Brazoria County Health Department has a COVID-19 question line open M-F 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can be reached at (979) 864-2167.  More information is available below on this webpage, along with, links to the CDC and Texas Department of Health Services COVID-19 websites.

CEO Message

Welcome to the Sweeny Community Hospital District’s website.  For more than five decades, Sweeny Community Hospital has been serving healthcare needs in our communities.  To be thought of first when our neighbors need health care is important to us all.  To be first in your mind means we perform as a first in class organization and provide first in class care.

As our community grows Sweeny Community Hospital is growing in lock step. We have embarked on an exciting path to build a new campus which will include a state-of-the-art hospital with 20 in-patient beds and an array of out-patient services. Adjacent to the hospital will be a medical office building where doctors and other medical health providers will be housed. You can find more information in Services and Practices.

When you visit us, you will find that our employees, medical staff, Hospital Board, Foundation and Auxiliary at Sweeny Community Hospital  provide excellent quality healthcare.  We want to make sure that it stands out as not only the place where you will come for healthcare, but also where you will continue to know that we care about you and your entire family.

Our motto, “You’ll Know We Care,” is more than mere words—it is how we go about doing our jobs. At Sweeny Community Hospital, it’s the staff that makes the difference, because “You’ll Know We Care.”
