Care Programs for Low-Income Residents
Sweeny Community Hospital is a tax-supported institution with a mission of providing first-quality health care to residents of the hospital district. For Sweeny Hospital District residents who cannot pay for the health care they need, the Care Program is in place to help. Usually, service is provided directly by the hospital. Occasionally a Care Program client needs specialty medical care that isn’t available locally. In those cases, the hospital district pays for the care at UTMB in Galveston — but only for clients who are previously enrolled in the Care Program.
For more information on the Care Program, who qualifies or how to apply for enrollment, contact the Care Program Coordinator, Kiana Jeffress, at (979) 548-1523.
